At Omeo District Health, we support young people aged 12 to 25 years to build confidence, make connections and get involved in their community.
Our Youth Services program provides a safe, welcoming and supportive space where young people can explore their interests, develop new skills and access the support they need to reach their goals.
Our Youth Worker offers a free, non-clinical service that helps young people:
Build confidence and resilience
Develop life and leadership skills
Strengthen friendships and social connections
Access local services and supports
Get involved in community activities and events
Have their voice heard and make a positive impact in their community
Whether you're looking for support, opportunities to get involved, or simply a place to connect with others, we're here to help.
The Hangout is a free youth group for young people aged 12 to 18 years, held every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm at the Swifts Creek Community Centre.
The Hangout is all about having fun, making friends and trying new experiences in a relaxed and inclusive environment. Best of all, the activities are chosen by local young people, giving you the chance to shape what happens.
Activities may include:
Arts and crafts
Cooking and food challenges
Creative projects
Non-traditional sports and games
Local outings and excursions
Community events and special activities
Come along, meet new people, share your ideas and be part of something that's designed by young people, for young people.
