Our vision
Omeo District Health delivers better outcomes for our rural community.
We provide appropriate services that meet required standards and improve health outcomes. This helps people to:
Age well
Keep well
Stay connected to care
Our purpose
To promote and enhance the health and wellbeing of the people of the East Gippsland High Country.
We work to improve community wellbeing, support people when they are unwell and ensure that appropriate health care remains accessible locally.

Omeo District Health has a proud history of resilience and community service. The health service has overcome economic challenges, population changes and the complete loss of its facility in a fire in 1939.
After extensive renovation, the modern ODH facility officially opened in 2005. Since then, it has continued to grow into a contemporary rural health service offering hospital care, residential aged care, allied health, medical services and home-based support.
